According to an article on El Nashra, the Bank of Lebanon has announced that it will issue new 1,000-, 50,000-, and 100,000-pound (US0.65, $33, and $66, respectively) notes on 24 February 2011. The notes are signed by the bank's governor, Riad Salameh, and the first deputy governor, Raed Sharaf al-Din. The notes appear to have enhanced security features, including OVI elements.
